These terms govern your use of Rangefinder, an iOS app from Quiet Optics LLC. By using the app you agree to them. They incorporate Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Rangefinder is a personal journaling and statistics tool: you log impressions with your honest prior, seal them, confirm whether you were right after the event, and the app scores your overall hit rate by channel and timeline. Rangefinder makes no claims about precognition, offers no readings or predictions of its own, provides no medical, financial, or spiritual advice, and involves no wagering, prizes, or real-money outcomes of any kind. All content is user-written; the app only scores your entries against your own stated priors. Your hit rates and channel statistics reflect only the impressions you chose to log and how you chose to confirm them.
Some features (channel scoreboard, export, and future Pro features) require a Rangefinder Pro purchase:
Prices are shown in the app before purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policies — you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your journal lives on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for keeping your own export backups if you want them; deleting the app deletes your journal.
Don't use Rangefinder to violate any law, and don't attempt to circumvent purchase verification. Free-tier limits are part of the product.
Rangefinder is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Hit rates and channel statistics are informational — they are honest math about your own entries, not professional medical, financial, or spiritual advice of any sort. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from use of the app.
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the effective date above and noted in App Store release notes. Continued use after a change is acceptance.
