Rangefinder is an impression journal from Quiet Optics LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy describes what data the app handles. The short version: everything stays on your device, and we collect nothing.
Nothing. Rangefinder has no accounts, no analytics SDKs, no advertising, no tracking, and no server of ours that the app talks to.
The app stores the following locally on your iPhone only:
Reminders about impressions are local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely by iOS on your device. No push server is involved.
If you import a CSV file (from Rangefinder itself or a compatible format), the file is read on your device and its contents become part of your local journal. If you export your journal, the CSV file is created on your device and goes only where you choose to send it via the iOS share sheet. We never see either file.
Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We receive no payment details. Apple's handling of that data is covered by Apple's privacy policy. Rangefinder verifies your entitlement on-device using StoreKit.
Settings → “Delete all impressions” permanently removes your journal from the device. Deleting the app removes everything else. There is no copy on any server to delete, because none exists.
Rangefinder is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone, including children.
If a future version of Rangefinder ever changes what data is handled (for example, an optional iCloud sync of your own journal to your own private iCloud database), this policy will be updated first and the change will be called out in the App Store notes.
