Latent

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 23, 2026

Latent is an intention tracker from Quiet Optics LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy describes what data the app handles. The short version: everything stays on your device, and we collect nothing.

What we collect

Nothing. Latent has no accounts, no analytics SDKs, no advertising, no tracking, and no server of ours that the app talks to.

What stays on your device

The app stores the following locally on your iPhone only:

Reminders about intentions are local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely by iOS on your device. No push server is involved.

Import and export

If you import a CSV file (from Latent itself or a compatible format), the file is read on your device and its contents become part of your local journal. If you export your journal, the CSV file is created on your device and goes only where you choose to send it via the iOS share sheet. We never see either file.

Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We receive no payment details. Apple's handling of that data is covered by Apple's privacy policy. Latent verifies your entitlement on-device using StoreKit.

Data deletion

Settings → “Delete all intentions” permanently removes your journal from the device. Deleting the app removes everything else. There is no copy on any server to delete, because none exists.

Children

Latent is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If a future version of Latent ever changes what data is handled (for example, an optional iCloud sync of your own journal to your own private iCloud database), this policy will be updated first and the change will be called out in the App Store notes.
