Frequently asked questions

How do I restore my purchases?

If you've reinstalled the app or moved to a new device, open Settings ▸ Restore Purchases inside the app while signed into the same Apple Account you bought with. Your Pro access comes back immediately — nothing is lost.

How do the free sessions work?

Aperture includes 3 complete, full-featured sessions for free — the full protocol from cooldown to reveal, drawn from the full target pool. A session only counts once you reach the reveal; abandoning one partway doesn't use it up. After the third reveal, Aperture Pro unlocks unlimited sessions.

Why don't I see the AI judge?

The AI judge runs on Apple's on-device language model, so it requires a supported iPhone: iPhone 15 Pro, or any iPhone 16 or 17 family model with Apple Intelligence enabled. On supported devices it works completely offline — your impressions never leave your phone. On older iPhones the judge card simply doesn't appear; everything else in the app works normally.

How does relay mode work?

Relay sessions (a Pro feature) run two viewers against the same target on one phone. You'll need a second named viewer set up before starting — add one from the viewer switcher, then choose the relay option on the home screen.

How do I delete my data?

Nothing is stored off-device, so deletion is entirely in your hands: deleting a viewer permanently deletes that viewer's sessions, and deleting the app deletes everything. There's no account and no server copy — see the Privacy Policy.

How do I export my sessions?

Open History and tap the share icon to export your session data as a JSON file via the iOS share sheet (a Pro feature). Where it goes — Files, Messages, email — is up to you.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us. Go to Settings ▸ [your name] ▸ Subscriptions on your device (or the App Store app ▸ your profile ▸ Subscriptions) to change plans or cancel. Cancelling keeps Pro active until the end of the current billing period.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are decided by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com — sign in, find the purchase, and choose "Request a refund."
